My interest in teaching dates back many years. I'm interested in developing an individual's potential to the full and sharing a love of music and interpretation. Technique is an important part of what we learn to master the instrument but can only be properly used in a musical context.

I have been a professor of cello and chamber music at the International Menuhin Music Academy in Switzerland and a chamber music professor at the Conservatoire du Nord in Luxembourg, my home, while also giving masterclasses in cello and chamber music at the UCLA Los Angeles, UK, Singapore, Taiwan and China among many other places.

I am a principal cellist of the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra and give numerous recitals with with my wife, pianist, Isabelle Trüb as well as chamber music concerts in many formations, most notably with the Kreisler Quartet Luxembourg. Over the past several decades of my life as a musician I've lived and worked in the UK, Switzerland, Australia and Luxembourg as a principal cellist of Camerata Bern, Camerata Lysy, Lausanne Chamber Orchestra, Scottish Ensemble, Australian String Quartet, Kreisler Quartet Luxembourg and the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra performing all over the globe. For the past 12 years I founded and have been artistic director of a chamber music festival in Switzerland, L'Automne Musical d'Ollon. With my duo partner and wife, pianist IsbelleTrüb, I've made many cd recordings of the repertoire from classical to 20th century.

I look forward to meeting you all and sharing our passion for music and the cello!
