Hi guys! I’m Katy, Solo Horn at the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam and International Visiting Professor at the Royal Academy of Music, London.

Before joining the RCO last year, I was Principal Horn of the Philharmonia Orchestra in London for 6 years, having joined as 3rd horn while studying at the Royal College of Music.

Between the Philharmonia and Concertgebouw, I took a couple of years out to explore ease of technique, take time to develop and see what was really possible on our beautiful instrument. During this time I was lucky enough to guest lead the horn sections of orchestras such as the London Symphony, Royal Philharmonic, BBC Philharmonic, Gothenburg Symphony and Sydney Symphony, as well as perform concertos and recitals playing some of the best solos in our repertoire by Strauss, Mozart, Britten and Glière, amongst others.

I am passionate about teaching and love helping my students fulfil their potential. I look forward to meeting you and exploring your unique talents and abilities.
