Although I have a strong educational and performing background in the traditional classical violin genre I have specialised in non classical performance. My key skill sets are in improvisation within the rock, jazz and folk genres. Having spent many years in the Information Technology industry, I have superior skills in the use of digital and communication technologies as tools for modern violin learning and teaching. As part of my work as a teacher of violin and string ensemble playing in education, I also am an experienced arranger of music that inspires string groups of all abilities.
