Amelia Tokarska (1995) is a graduate of the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in the harp class of prof. Jana Bouskova, Amelia continued her studies at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, wherein 2020, she obtained a master's degree with honors. She began studying the Harp at the age of seven at the Music School in Bielsko-Biała (Poland) in the harp class of prof. Ewa Jaślar- Walicka. She also enriches her education by taking part in the program of the Czech Academy of Chamber Music. She is currently the first harpist of the Bohuslav Martinu Philharmonic in Zlin.
The harpist is a winner of national and international competitions, including second place at the International Harp Competition in Prague, winner of the Interpretation Competition Jeunesses Musicales (solo concert with the Janácek Philharmonic Ostrava), laureate of the 8th International Competition of Duets with Harp in Cieszyn, Award of Director of the Art Education Center in Warsaw, third place in the 14th International Juliusz Zarebski Music Competition, second place in the 7th National Competition of Musical Interpretation in Przemyśl, third place in the 6th International Contemporary Music Competition for Children and Teenagers in Krakow, laureate of the 14th International Chamber Music Review in Jawor.
Amelia was selected for the Focus on Youth program, where she performed at the 12th World Harp Congress in Sydney in July 2014. She will also have the pleasure to perform at the XIV World Harp Congress in Cardiff in 2022. For her artistic achievements, Amelia received a scholarship from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, a Visegrad Scholarship, a Soroptimist International scholarship, a scholarship from the National Children's Fund, and a scholarship from the city of Bielsko-Biała in the field of culture and art.
Amelia has taken part in many workshops and master classes with: Isabelle Moretti, Imogen Barford, Adelheid Blovsky-Miller, Paola Baron, Agnieszka Gralak, Ieuan Jones, Bryn Lewis, Joanna Kozielska, Liuba Klevtsova, Chantal Mathieu, Rossitza Milevska, Malwina Lipiec, Pia Salvia, Florence Sitruk, Park Stickney, Helga Storck, Ewa Strusinska, Elzbieta Szmyt, Anna Verkholantseva, Sidsel Walstad.
In the 2017-2018 seasons, she was a harpist of the National Opera in Brno. She also participated in the Orchestral Academy of the Brno Philharmonic. Amelia collaborated with: I, Culture Orchestra, Czech National Symphony Orchestra, Slovak Philharmonic, Philharmonische Kammerorchester Berlin, Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra, National Moravian-Silesian Theatre, Pan-European Philharmonic of Warsaw, Boguslaw Huberman Czestochowa Philharmonic Orchestra, Saigon Philharmonic Orchestra, South Bohemian Philharmonic, Philharmonie Hradec Králové, International Lutoslawski Youth Orchestra, Orchestra Aukso, Alchemic Orchestra, Slot Art Orchestra, Sudety Philharmonic and Academic Choir of the Silesian University.
